Girls Uniform

Ballet dresses, character skirts, leotards, cross-over cardigans and pink leather ballet shoes are all available directly from Southwest School of Ballet. Our dresses, skirts, leotards and cross over cardigans are sourced from UK manufacturers.

NB: All ballet shoes are to have a full sole. Split-soled ballet shoes are not to be worn by graded students without the permission of the principal.

Dress code:

Please ensure that no jewellery is worn and that hair is tied firmly off the face. Since dressing the part does wonders for your child's confidence, we strongly advise complying with the dress code. However, please don't worry if you can't provide the whole uniform right away. What matters most is that your child can move freely.

Babies, Pre-Primary & Primary

Pale pink cotton lycra and chiffon ballet dress.
Pale pink cross-over cardigan.
Pink leather ballet shoes.
Optional pink or white tights or socks.

Grade 1

Pale pink cotton lycra, sleeveless leotard.
Pale pink cross-over cardigan.
Pale pink leather ballet shoes.
Optional pink or white tights or socks.
Black, circular character skirt (with three graduated pink ribbons - see picture).
Low heeled black character shoes.

Grades 2 & 3

Mulberry leotard.
Matching cross-over cardigan.
Pink leather ballet shoes.
Character skirts remain the same (with three graduated pink ribbons - see picture).
Low heeled black character shoes.

Grades 4 & 5

Option of Mulberry or Navy Blue leotard.
Matching cross-over cardigan.
Character skirts remain the same (with three graduated pink ribbons - see picture).
Character shoes should be low heeled unless specifically advised otherwise by your teacher.

Grades 6, 7 & 8

Choice of Black, Burgundy, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Lavender or Mulberry leotard.
Optional matching cross-over cardigan.
Matching mid-calf length, chiffon skirt.
Character skirts remain the same (with slightly deeper graduating pink ribbons).
Character shoes should be low heeled unless specifically advised otherwise by your teacher.

Adults

No specific uniform requirements.
